FAQ
Q: Can I put water in your vases?
A: If the interior is left as clear glass, water is typically fine for fresh stems. To protect the exterior artwork, I recommend filling carefully and wiping drips immediately. If you’d like, I can also note on each listing whether the interior is best for fresh florals or dry arrangements.
Q: How do I clean the outside of a hand-finished vase?
A: Use a soft, dry cloth or a lightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners—especially on gilded or painted details.
Q: Will gold/copper/silver leaf tarnish?
A: Metallic leaf can shift subtly over time depending on humidity and handling. I seal pieces for durability, and gentle care (dry hands, soft cloth cleaning) helps preserve the finish.
Q: Are your vases dishwasher safe?
A: No—hand-finished surfaces should never go in the dishwasher.
Q: Are your vases best for fresh flowers or dried arrangements?
A: Many work beautifully for both. If you plan to use fresh flowers, I recommend choosing pieces where the interior is suitable for water and always protecting the exterior artwork from drips.
Q: How do I clean the inside of a vase without damaging the outside finish?
A: Clean the interior carefully with warm water and mild soap, keeping the exterior as dry as possible. Avoid soaking the entire vase, and dry the outside immediately if any water splashes.
Q: Can I use vinegar or strong cleaners to remove mineral buildup inside the vase?
A: I don’t recommend strong cleaners on hand-finished pieces. If you notice buildup, try warm water with mild soap first and use a soft bottle brush. The goal is to protect the exterior artwork and seal.
Q: Will the resin coating yellow over time?
A: Resin can shift slightly over long periods, especially with direct sunlight. Displaying your vase away from strong, continuous sun helps preserve the clarity and color of the finish.
Q: Can I place a hand-finished vase on delicate surfaces (wood tables, marble, etc.)?
A: Yes—just use a soft pad or coaster if you’re concerned about surface protection, especially for heavier pieces. This also helps prevent accidental sliding.
