Artistry in Pouring Barware: Care & Maintenance
Our handcrafted barware glasses are finished with hand-painted, gilded, or etched detailing on the exterior, with a protective seal applied over all decorative surfaces. The interior is uncoated glass and fully safe for use with beverages. To preserve the artisan finish and ensure lasting beauty:
Routine Cleaning (Exterior): Dust gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth regularly to prevent buildup and keep decorative finishes looking their best on the sealed exterior.
Deeper Cleaning (Exterior): If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water and gently wipe the exterior surface. Avoid excessive moisture — never soak, submerge, or run the exterior under water, as this can loosen metallic leaf, painted detail, or etched finish beneath the seal.
Avoid Chemicals: Do not use glass cleaners, alcohol, ammonia, or harsh chemicals on the exterior, as these may dull the protective finish or damage the artwork beneath.
No Abrasives: Avoid scouring pads, rough sponges, or abrasive materials that could scratch or wear down the decorated exterior surface.
Not Dishwasher Safe: These glasses are handcrafted and should never be placed in a dishwasher. The heat, pressure, and detergents used in dishwashers will damage the decorative finish and compromise the integrity of the glass.
Temperature Caution: Avoid sudden temperature changes — do not pour boiling liquids directly into a cold glass or place glasses in the freezer. Extreme thermal shifts can cause glass to crack and may affect the exterior finish.
Sunlight Protection: Display and store away from direct sunlight for extended periods. Prolonged UV exposure can cause painted and gilded accents to fade, even beneath a protective seal.
Safe Placement & Storage: Store glasses upright and never stacked inside one another, as stacking can chip the rim or scratch the exterior finish. Handle with care and keep away from edges or high-traffic areas where they may be knocked over.
Interior Use: The interior is uncoated glass and fully safe for all cold and room-temperature beverages. Rinse with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap after each use, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive brushes or scrubbers inside the glass to prevent scratching.

A: Many work beautifully for both. If you plan to use fresh flowers, I recommend choosing pieces where the interior is suitable for water and always protecting the exterior artwork from drips.

A: Resin can shift slightly over long periods, especially with direct sunlight. Displaying your vase away from strong, continuous sun helps preserve the clarity and color of the finish.
Q: Can I place a hand-finished vase on delicate surfaces (wood tables, marble, etc.)?
A: Yes—just use a soft pad or coaster if you’re concerned about surface protection, especially for heavier pieces. This also helps prevent accidental sliding.
