Glass Vases: Care & Maintenance

Our hand-painted and metallic-accented glass vases are true works of art, with a protective resin layer on the exterior. The interior is uncoated glass. To maintain their vibrancy and ensure longevity:

Routine Cleaning (Exterior): Dust gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth at least once a week to prevent dust buildup and keep colors vivid on the resin-coated exterior.
Deeper Cleaning (Exterior): If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water and gently wipe the exterior surface. Avoid excessive moisture—never soak, submerge, or run under water, as this can loosen paint or metallic leaf beneath the resin.
Avoid Chemicals: Do not use glass cleaners, alcohol, ammonia, or harsh chemicals on the exterior, as these may dull the resin finish or affect the artwork below.
No Abrasives: Steer clear of scouring pads, rough sponges, or abrasive materials that could scratch the resin surface.
Sunlight Protection: Display out of direct sunlight for extended periods. Prolonged exposure can cause paint and metallic accents to fade, even under resin.
Safe Placement: Place vases away from edges, high-traffic areas, or locations where they might be knocked over. Handle with care to avoid chips or cracks.
Interior Use: The interior is uncoated glass and can hold water for fresh flowers. Rinse with room temperature water and mild soap if needed, then dry thoroughly. Avoid using abrasive brushes inside to prevent scratching the glass.
Water Use: If using as a flower vase, empty and dry thoroughly after each use to avoid mineral buildup on the uncoated interior.

General Display & Storage Tips

Rotate Displays: Change display locations occasionally to ensure even exposure to light and prevent fading.
Safe Storage: When not in use, store items in original packaging or wrap in a soft cloth to avoid scratches or dust buildup.
Avoid Extremes: Keep all artisan décor away from direct heat, humidity, and sunlight to preserve finishes and prevent warping.
Group with Care: When displaying sets or bundles, ensure items are not stacked in a way that might cause pressure marks or scratches.
